Ford First Time Car Buyer Program FAQs
The Customer Rate Benefit allows qualified buyers to receive a maximum Tier 2 rate (standard or subvented), depending on eligibility.
To qualify, customers must meet the following criteria:
- No prior auto tradelines
- No major derogatory credit (such as prior charge-off, bankruptcy, or current delinquency)
- Proof of income (POI) and proof of residence (POR) must be verified at the time of credit offering
- Minimum of 6 consecutive months at their current job
The following MY25-26 new Ford models qualify:
- Bronco Sport
- Escape
- Maverick
- Mustang Mach-E
- Ranger
Eligible certified models include:
- Ford FBA: Bronco Sport, Edge, Escape, Maverick, Mustang Mach-E, Ranger
- Lincoln CPO: Corsair
The program runs from November 20, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
No. The program is for personal use only.
The program applies to the following financing products:
- Retail
- Flex Buy® (new vehicles only)
- Lease (new vehicles only)
- Retail: 72 months
- Flex Buy: 66 months
- Lease: 36 months
The customer’s payment may not exceed 22% of their income.
Up to 100% before add-ons.
Eligible customers may fall within tiers 0-4.
A minimum FICO score of 640 is required for eligibility.
Yes. Customers must provide at least $1,000 customer cash (excluding rebates or trade equity).
Yes. Customers are not eligible for:
- 90-day deferred programs
- CSPP
- FELP
Additionally, eligibility does not guarantee credit approval.
Yes. Additional First-Time Buyer incentives may be available. Dealers should check Smart VINCENT for details and must claim the customer's natural Ford Credit tier.
